Turkey, Armenia & Georgia: Exploring the Silk Road

14 September to 11 October 2020

Our Journey Along the Great Silk Road from Xian to Khiva in 2017 then Iran in 2018, continues westwards to Turkey, Armenia and Georgia in 2020. Our Journey will bring the histories vividly to life, as we encounter one of the world’s most potent and creative civilizations and Asia’s greatest sights. Mention Turkey and visions of sultans and harems, amazing mosques, belly-dancers, ancient ruins, Gallipoli and the ANZAC campaign, stunning coasts and the breathtaking natural landscape spring to mind, and this is exactly what this tour has. Travel through ancient landscapes with opportunities to witness the magnificent architecture, atmospheric teahouses, local life of the bustling bazaars, or indulge your interests in intact streetscapes, sublime gardens and courtyards festooned with colourful carpets, textiles, pottery and handicrafts. The very names of Byzantium, Constantinople-now Istanbul, breath magic. The capital is one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world.

Zen Oriental Journeys appoints tour managers and leaders who have significant experience in management at senior education department levels and are experienced in professional tour leadership.
